While he was considered a legend in the field of rock, the hip hop world was also reeling from the sudden and tragic passing of Linkin Park member Chester Bennington. Having worked with everyone from JAY-Z and Pusha T to Planet Asia and Black Thought, the group pushed boundaries throughout the 2000s and were as equally revered in rap as they were rock.

Emilio Rojas was one of the musicians who listened to Linkin Park in his younger days, and like others he is feeling the absence left by Chester. So, in an effort to pay homage to him and the group, he reimagines one of their biggest singles, “Numb,” as a tribute to Bennington.

“So many people deal with mental illness,” he says, t’s a shame that it’s still such a taboo. If you, or anyone you love is struggling please take the time to make sure that they are okay. RIP Chester; prayers to your family, friends, and fans. You’ve given us all so much.”
