Each week, following the release of the album, JAY-Z has revealed both a visual and footnotes for the songs off 4:44. It is no different in its fifth week of release, as he shares a video for “Adnis,” a bonus track off the physical edition that speaks directly to his father.
Initially previewed in a Sprint advert which formally announced the union between the phone company and TIDAL, the monochrome clip features Mahershala Ali (as a boxer) and Danny Glover (as his trainer… or perhaps father?).
Definitely can’t wait to hear the footnotes on this one.
