Joyner Lucas Rips Kendrick’s “DNA”

blame it on JES7 July 31, 2017

Last month (on what would have been 2Pac’s 46th birthday), Joyner Lucas gave every rapper a run for their money, releasing his debut album The 508 Project — a goldmine of elite lyricism and incredibly witty wordplay.

Before gifting heads with the project, the Massachusetts emcee destroyed Future‘s “Mask Off” with a lethal freestyle, going after mumble rappers and effectively sending a shot at Logic at the same time.

With a month’s worth of breathing room since the album’s release, Joyner’s next victim is Kendrick Lamar‘s “DNA,” shouting out Compton and relentlessly going after his competition with no remorse.

“Look, all them niggas know exactly who I am, but they don’t give me no respect / Cause the problem is they don’t fuck with me, everybody see me as a threat / Yeah yeah, I know this sounds like some fresh air / If you don’t hear me right use your left ear.”
