Detroit’s Tee Grizzley is one of the more exciting rappers to come from the Motor City in a while, with his debut album My Moment continuing to buzz strongly. With Detroit, a the film based on Algiers Motel incident which took place during the city’s 12th Street Riot of 1967, arriving in theaters in a matter of days, Tee contributed to the film’s soundtrack with “Teetroit.”
Tee has returned with a matching set of visuals for the single. The video is rather interesting, too: it splices in footage from the film and the news, and also features many Detroit residents who were alive and present during the 12th Street Riot performing some of Tee’s lyrics throughout.
