Kelela Announces ‘Take Me Apart’ Debut; Drops Lead Single, “LMK”

Kelela has graced the DopeHouse plenty over the last couple years in a feature role, with guest features on albums from Gorillaz, Solange, Danny Brown, Clams Casino and others. She’s back today, though, with news that her debut album — Take Me Apart — will be released October 6. It’ll be her first project since 2015’s Hallucinogens EP.

The D.C native also released the first single from Take Me Apart, “LMK.” Named after the simple “let me know” abbreviation, Kelela feels that’s all you have to do to make your intentions clear: just give it a yes or a no — just don’t leave her in the dust without an answer.
