2017 marks Hip-Hop legend Planet Asia‘s 20th anniversary in the rap game, having jump-started his career as a part of the group Yard Massive/
Skhool Yard and their little-known EP Lifestyles Of A Cali Mcee, released in 1997 (while YouTube doesn’t have any audio of the songs off the aforementioned EP, you can check out the sounds of an early PA with 1998’s “Representation“).
Since then, the Fresno emcee has collaborated on projects with everyone from Rasco as Cali Agents, to Madlib, DJ Muggs, Gensu Dean, frequent collaborators DirtyDiggs, DJ Concept, Killer Ben and TriState as Durag Dynasty and recently announced a joint album with Apollo Brown (Anchovies) and connected with Copywrite for Unfinished & Untitled.
To celebrate two decades as one of the hardest-working independent emcees, Planet Asia drops off the first single from yet another upcoming album, Dirty Planet, produced entirely by DirtyDiggs.
