NorCal Nick has been through plenty of heartbreak and recovery over the last year, and he’s (fortunately) evolved and learned from the experiences. His latest song, “The Same, But Not,” takes a look at how the Northern California native has changed for the better.
His phone number is still the same, he’s physically pretty much the same, and his feelings toward lots of things are still the same. But his outlook on life has changed, and that’s switched up his whole formula on how he goes about things. The themes are reflected in the sound, too, as Autumn Keys provides a bubbly, looping beat for Nick to hop on — a change-up from the dusty boom-bap he often picks.
