Milo Wonders ‘who told you to think??!!?!?!?!’ On New LP

Milo has always been one to question just what the hell is going on around him — the thought process of a young black man in America perusing a toxic society around him. He takes it a step further on his new album, who told you to think??!!?!?!?!, wondering what exactly is the motivation to question things in the first place and how much those are “allowed” to question as artists in society.

The album “is about boundaries and permissions. the artist creating their own license to ill,” he wrote in a note on Bandcamp. “the process of flaw turned idiosyncrasy turned style. that old transmutation spell, the happening as one perfects tricks and in turn masters magic. to set the elenchus upon itself, to begin a poet and end a rapper agency. that is what makes the rapper an exceptional artist, beyond a poet.”

The 15-track album was introduced with the incredible “Magician” and followed with “Sorcerer.” A bulk of it was produced by Kenny Segal, whose house Milo recorded the album at. There’s features from Busdriver, ELUCID and more across the project, which you can listen to below. Cop who told you to think??!!?!?!?! on Bandcamp, too.
