Ace Hood Drops ‘Trust The Process’ Mixtape, After Split with DJ Khaled

In case you missed the memo, Ace Hood is no longer with DJ Khaled and his We The Best crew.

“It was just time for a new start. That’s all it was,” Ace told Complex about the split. “My mind was in a different place and I wanted something different for myself. I seen something larger for myself and I felt like I needed to remove myself from under the umbrella to accomplish that.”

Now a free agent, Ace Hood is looking to release his first album since 2013’s Trials and Tribulations sometime next year. But first, a few projects need to be released.

No stranger to the mixtape game (having dropped multiple installments of his Body Bag and Starvation tapes in the last four years), the Florida rapper kicks off his new mission with Trust The Process.

Locked in at 13 tracks, including last night’s “Came Wit The Posse,” the project is produced entirely by Foreign Trek of the Mekanics.
