I’ve been a fan of Declaime ever since I first heard “Exclaim The Name,” from his 2001 debut album Andsoitisaid. Seventeen years later, the artist also known as Dudley Perkins returns with his sixteenth(!) album, Young Spirit.
With Georgia Anne Muldrow handling the bulk of the production (with Madlib producing the other track), Declaime rounds up the likes of Blu, Aloe Blacc (on “Violet Sky“), Saul Williams, Ayun Bassa, and others throughout the 19-track outing.
