A little over a year ago, Reason released The Proof, a 9-track collection of freestyles.
The mixtape allowed the Oxnard, California rapper to have a little fun while flexing over some of 2016’s hottest beats, including Future‘s “Wicked,” “Panda” and “Drug Dealers Anonymous,” before capping things off for the year with “Goal Digger.”
A couple of months ago, Reason returned to the frontlines with a video for “Kurupt,” off his new, highly-underrated album, There You Have It.
Compared to the previously mentioned mixtape, There You Have It features a more serious tone, tackling relatable topics, and Reason hits us with a visual for one of the album’s standouts: “Situations.”
Captured through the lens of Reason and director Ricardo Navarro, the video is a personal view of the California rapper’s relationship with his lady as he tries to find a proper balance of keeping things afloat, despite struggles and temptations of infidelity.
Hit play above and cop his new album, There You Have It on iTunes.
