King Krule Returns With “Czech One”

blame it on Patrick Glynn August 23, 2017

It’s been just about four years to the day since King Krule dropped his stellar introductory album, 6 Feet Beneath The Moon. Since then, Krule — née Archy Marshall — has worked with RATKING, Mount Kimbe and others. He’s also released a digital album, A New Place 2 Drown, under his government name with his brother.

Today, Krule returns to solo form with a new song, “Czech One.” It’ll be released by XL Recordings as a 7″, but it also may be an indicator a new album is coming as he’s announced a tour of North America and Europe starting October 21. (That’s a good sign that an album will drop before then.)

As for the song, it’s intoxicating and soulful like songs from his debut album. Marshall floats for four minutes, despondent about a relationship that seems to not being coming to fruition because of his motivation and mental state.
