Wiki Is The “Mayor” Of NYC In New Video

Wiki is releasing his debut album (and first on XL Recordings), No Mountains In Manhattan, this week. While he’s been relatively mum on the sharing music front (two singles — “Pretty Bull” and “Icarus” — have been spread out across five months), he returns with a refresher before the album drops with “Mayor.”

The song’s joy and carefree nature are presented in the first couple bars, where he talks about being viewed as an underrated rapper, but a natural at the same time. Simply put? “You was the worst rapper, I was the best rapper.” Doesn’t get easier to understand than that. For the video, released with the song, Wiki walks around New York City in a raggedy suit and sneakers campaigning why the city should support him as the best around.
