Lex One Survives the Torturous “Wonder Jungle”

blame it on JES7 August 27, 2017

Miami native Lex One literally pours his heart and soul into his music and its accompanying videos, and with the latter, spares no expense, choosing to focus on the creative aspects of the art.

With “Let’s Get Lost,” Lex hired visual artist/animator GeD and referenced a list of classic video games, bringing a sense of nostalgia which contrasted the song’s poignant message.

This time around, Lex linked up with director Alex Engel for a more cinematic piece with “Wonder Jungle.” The nightmare starts off with Lex bound and duct-taped to a chair, with a gun pressed to his head, before being dropped off in an undisclosed tunnel and having to survive the harsh deserts until finally stumbling upon civilization.

“The video symbolizes life in a way,” Lex explained via email, continuing “Sometimes it just grabs you, kidnaps you, leaves you in the middle of nowhere and you have to find your sh*t and start over.”
