Looks like it’s Lil Uzi Vert‘s time to shine.
Before he joined Ed Sheeran on the VMAs stage or a mashup performance of “Shape Of You” and “XO TOUR Llif3,” the eclectic artist released his highly anticipated debut album Luv Is Rage 2 on Friday, August 25th. Now it appears that the wait will pay off on the Billboard charts.
Hits Daily Double is reporting that Uzi Vert’s album is out-pacing all competitors nearly 2:1, and is headed toward the top of the Billboard 200 with an estimated 110-120K in first-week sales. The next closest newcomer would be XXXtentacion‘s 17, with an estimated 65-70K in units moved.
Uzi also won the MTV VMA for Song of Summer, for “XO Tour Llif3.”
