I first heard of Sam Dew singing on the hook of Wale’s “LoveHate Thing” back in 2013. He also helped Wale write “Lotus Flower Bomb.” In the years following, Dew has worked as a songwriter for the likes of Rihanna, Skrillex, Taylor Swift and plenty others amidst releasing a project of his own in 2015.
Ready to seemingly break out into his own craft, Dew shares a new single called “Remember” produced by DJ Dahi. The song reminds me of shades of Miguel, which makes sense given he helped pen one of Mr. Pimentel’s more memorable hooks with “Lotus Flower Bomb.”
