Swollen Members co-founder Moka Only has worked hand-in-hand with some of the underground’s mightiest heroes, including MF Doom and J Dilla and toured the globe with the likes of Tanya Morgan and Illa J, plus a production discography that runs all the way back to 1997.
Last year, the Vancouver-reared beatsmith launched his 12 for 12 project, releasing an album every month for the entirety of 2016, with each LP “curated from a palette of anecdotal quips, time hops, and relativity.”
To follow things up, Moka returns with his next grandiose project, Concert For One, a 20-track project which he holds down by himself, save for an appearance from Dank (of Frank-N-Dank) and artwork by Vanessa Malo.
“Can we reset ourselves and get back to soul power, please? It is my only true wish. My wish for the feeling to feel feel-able again in this music life or whatever surrounds it,” Moka reasons with the current state of the art.
