I was talking to some friends which version of Frank Ocean’s “Nikes” we like better: the album version or the music video version, which has the low-pitched voice doing ad-libs over the whole song. And now we have another to throw into the mix — the live version.
Frank shared a clip of his performing the song in the studio, presumably practicing for one of his occasional festival performances. It doesn’t seem like any song Frank performs live is like the original composition, which makes the music even that more layered and fresh.
