Childish Major has been percolating around Atlanta for a while now, producing for the likes of Rome Fortune and Two-9. He got a big look, though, helping providing the beat for the title track to J. Cole‘s 4 Your Eyez Only last year. It was clear that wasn’t the only studio time the two spent in each other’s presence, as they also produced EarthGang’s “Voodoo” together.
Childish continues to benefit from their relationship, as Cole as now produced his new single, “Supply Luh.” A short effort, Childish Major still comes with plenty of energy as he sinisterly hums about the complications of the tug-of-war of a relationship.
Cole producing a beat for someone not on his Dreamville label has been a pretty rare occurrence over the last three years, with guys like Pusha T and Logic being a select few who have gotten beats. He must really dig Childish Major.
