Torii Wolf‘s new album — FLOW RiiOT — will be produced almost entirely by DJ Premier and is set to drop at the end of the month. She’s released one-third of the songs from the 15-track effort, including “Free” with Macklemore. The most recent, “Big Big Trouble,” is now the latest focus of promotion with a new video, which is dripping with spiders.
“Creating a visual for this record was very special for me,” Wolf said in a press email “It was really important to visually emulate the juxtaposition of love and lust in an animalistic way.” She also discussed why the eight-legged creatured were crawling all throughout the video:
“The way that a female spider eats their lover is similar to the feeling of being lustfully consumed by another human. The video both conveys and captures the underlying emotion of knowing that you’re going to catch your prey before they do; and knowing what you’re capable of doing to them.”
