Stream J. Pinder’s ‘Player Profile’ EP

blame it on JES7 September 9, 2017

In 2008, Seattle rapper/producer J. Pinder landed himself a feature spot on Jake One‘s White Van Music, and in the years following, linked up with the likes of Frank Dukes, the Yancey Boys, Focus, Rapper Big Pooh and Slum Village, before being hand selected by the one-and-only Dr. Dre to write a few songs for the Compton album.

Earlier this year, J. Pinder set out to release a trilogy of EPs—and in the wake of releasing the last two: Any Day Now and Something You Wanted, returns to the DopeHouse with the final installment, Player Profile.

He describes the project as “the perfect transition from Sade to Kendrick Lamar in a playlist,” adding “Player Profile is the 3rd EP [this year] with 10.4 Rog. He and I linked up in Oakland and knocked out a bunch of music that we enjoyed ourselves. The inspiration came from life. Taking years away from the game, I bottled in a lot of energy.”
