Last summer, BADBADNOTGOOD released an epic jazz composition called “Confessions Pt. II” that featured saxophonist Colin Stetson. It later landed on IV. The song, of course, was a follow-up to “Confessions,” which landed on their album III. So with the third song in the “Confessions” series out now, does this mean a new BBNG album — V — is imminent?
Much like previous renditions, “Confessions Pt. III” is driven by dueling saxophones, with one chaotically gorgeous sax laying the base for the other to almost softly croon over. The pairing turns out to be incredibly emotional and energizing before a soothing outro brings the song to a close.
