Future And Cher Cover Sly & The Family Stone In New Gap Commercial.
Yup.
Future and Cher — yes, the iconic pop star — teamed up for a Gap commercial for their “Meet In The Gap” campaign, where the brand encourages of people all shapes, sizes and colors to come in their store a buy their clothes.
For Gap’s newest ad, the two stars “meet in the gap” by covering a Sly & The Family Stone classic: “Everyday People.” This time around, the two put their signature vocal spins on the song to try and bring the it to 2017.
The pair did an interview for PEOPLE Magazine about the clip, and it was filled with a bunch of generic, it’s-so-special-to-be-in-this-ad-type quotes, but Futche did say he tried to pick up a couple tips from the legend: “I couldn’t help but follow her lead and also ask her for a few pointers on stage presence in front of the camera in this type of setting.”
