2017 has been the year of The Internet going solo. Syd dropped a plethora of solo projects, while Matt Martians has released a pair of projects as well. Meanwhile, Steve Lacy dropped his own solo project, and worked both with Kendrick Lamar and GoldLink.
He has now released another solo loosie “just cause,” “4Real.” Straying from the jazzy overtones of his music, Lacy instead channels his inner New Power Generation-meets-Thundercat on the fast-paced offering. Listen to it below.
