With Liberated on the way, DeJ Loaf is back with another taste of her long-awaited debut album.
Following “No Fear” from earlier this summer, the Detroit native keeps it coming with “Changes,” an upbeat tune about old friends turnt strangers, ex lovers mad over her celebrity, and personal evolution.
“I’m hoping people understand that this isn’t fake, or don’t think I’m just doing this because I’m being forced. I’ve always wanted to make bigger music,” DeJ told The Fader last year. “But I never could go all the way ’cause I didn’t have the resources, in terms of working with Grammy Award-winning producers, bigger studios, a bigger sound. I’ve always had it in me, but my voice is developed now. I’m myself. I’m who I always wanted to be.”
