DOOM & [adult swim] Are No More

blame it on Meka September 27, 2017

Yesterday (9/27) was a bit different, because the day had come and gone without an entry from DOOM‘s Missing Notebook Rhymes. Heading to website for the project would also reveal a quirky crash page with a random [adult swim] message (it is worth reading, however).

Mass Appeal reached out to [adult swim] about it, and as it turns out [adult swim] has canceled the series altogether, after only seven tracks (out of a scheduled 15). “[adult swim] is ending our relationship with DOOM, and thus, the remaining Missing Notebook Rhymes will unfortunately have to remain… missing,” they said via email. “We are glad to have had the chance to provide the previous free tracks to our fans.”

The songs that were released have also been removed from the site, including the tracks with Jay Electronica, Alchemist and Kool Keith. Naturally, DOOM himself did not leave a statement behind the canceling.

Fortunately, fans still have Westside Gunn and DOOM’s WESTSIDEDOOM project to hold them down.
