A decade after they released their magnum opus Below The Heavens, Blu & Exile will take things to the past with In The Beginning: Before The Heavens. The album will actually be composed of tracks that were crafted during the Below The Heavens sessions, and will feature the likes of Cashus King, Blame One, Exile’s Emanon partner Aloe Blacc, and others.
After releasing the first single “Constellations,” the duo drops off “Back To Basics.” “[The song] was a dedication to my homie Basic,” Blu said to XXL. “I would go to his crib in high school to freestyle and beg him to bring me to the Wake Up Show, cause he worked there. He never did, haha. But I would always go back to Basic’s.”
