Last month, J57 came through with a surprise release of his Sonic Boom Bap EP. And today, the Brown Bag AllStar is back with an accompanying video for “Sometimes.”
Easily his most honest song to date, the rapping producer opens up on his insecurities, doubts and issues that plague his mind throughout the day, with a verse over his own harrowing production. Really, if I was a rapper, this is exactly what I would say on record. This one hits home.
