DOOM’s Missing Notebook Rhymes may have ended early, but that doesn’t mean that DOOM is done treating us.
Following the initial announcement, WESTSIDEDOOM, née, the duo of Griselda Record’s Westside Gunn and Metal Fingers, dropped their first heater, “Gorilla Monsoon.” Now, they link with producer Alchemist for the second, “2Stings.”
As sinister-sounding as ever, the duo trade rhymes over a minimalist, dark backdrop provided by Alan the Chemist. In a recent interview about the pairing, Gunn said that WESTSIDEDOOM “didn’t have to be a full album or what not to make a point.” This writer, however, hopes that an actual album comes from this.
