This past summer, those who lived across the pond had a few opportunities to catch the mini-reunion of DJ Jazzy Jeff and Will Smith, The Fresh Prince.
During one particular performance, at Blackpool, England’s LiveWire Festival, the duo introduced their first new collaborative track since 1998’s “Lovely Daze,” called “Get Lit.” According to reports, the song was written “in response to recent ‘chaos and confusion’ across the world.” “I wanted to make a record that reminded each and every one of y’all to let your light shine,” Smith said on stage.
An informal follow-up to his appearance on Bomba Estéreo‘s “Fiesta” remix, the song delves into the high-energy world of EDM, which falls in line with the “Fiesta” remix. Listen to it below.
