NPR has put together a consistent string of excellent Tiny Desk Concerts lately. From The Roots and Bilal’s jam session, to Thundercat’s drunken medley, to Mr. Lif and Akrobatik’s dope performance, the Tiny Desk has been one of the better mini-concerts in recent memory.
Wyclef was its latest guest. In between performances of tracks from his recently-released tenth album, The Carnival III:The Fall and Rise of a Refugee, he shared stories of his encounters and experiences with The Fugees, Whitney Houston and Destiny’s Child, all the while performing nearly every instrument within arm’s reach.
