After years of deep soul-searching and analyzing how he fits within the world, Rexx Life Raj looked to kick game to listeners last year with the release of his official debut album, Father Figure. Now, with another year of knowledge earned, he’s back with a second batch of life advice and wisdom on Father Figure 2: Flourish.

“Typically a father figure is someone who gives game and wisdom in hope that it makes the journey easier for other people,” explains Raj. “These songs are grounded in feelings and life-experiences that I’ve been through and learned from. I want to share those with the world. It’s easy to rap about material things, i.e. money, jewelry, clothes, but it’s harder to be vulnerable and open about trials, tribulation, and emotion.”

At 15 tracks, led by “2Free” and “Where I Belong,FF2 features G-Eazy (“Forever Lit“), Russ (“Burn Baby Burn“), and Iman Europe. Production provided by Mikos Da Gawd, Mike Gao, Kyle Betty, Ian McKee, Mr. Carmack, Cisco Cortez, and more.
