Devine Carama Drops ‘The Good News’ LP

blame it on Shake December 20, 2017

I think it’s safe to say that the majority of us will be glad to put 2017 to bed in a few short weeks. At this point, it doesn’t even make sense to list all the terrible things that happened (although, I do offer my condolences to the friends and family of Combat Jack; f*ck cancer).

The year hasn’t been kind to Devine Carama, either.

“2017 was a tough year for me personally and the world at large. Personally, I lost my car, my job and even my marriage,” the Lexington, KY native says. “The world witnessed the election of arguably the worst presidential candidate in American history, multiple mass shootings, and extreme racism emboldened.”

Despite all that, Carama is looking towards the light and comes through with The Good News, his first collection of new music in over a year.

“Despite everything, we are still blessed,” he continues. “God is still God and everything happens according to His plan. I wanted this album to be a beacon of light and hope despite the personal and national trials and tribulations many of us have faced this year. I wanted to celebrate the ‘good news’ instead of focusing on the bad.”

Produced entirely by Italian producer, J.O.D, The Good News arrives at 14 tracks with contibutions from Joslyn (of The Sweet Compression), The Campbell’s, Devn Roberts, and JK-47—providing scratches, mixing, and mastering.
