Leading up to the “releases” of The Life Of Pablo, Kanye West briefly brought back his G.O.O.D. Friday series and unveiled a few singles from it. “Real Friends,” featuring Ty Dolla $ign, was the second of these drops.
A few months after the drop, Swizz Beatz took to his Instagram to reveal that DMX had planned to release his take on the song. For whatever reason however, the track never saw the light of day.
That is, until now. Hacker group Music Mafia — who also liberated Drake‘s reference track for Baka Not Nice‘s “Live Up To My Name” — leaked what appears to be a long-vaulted verse from the Dark Man X. While it’s almost certain now that the song will never officially release, it is interesting to finally hear what could have been.
