Lil Wayne & DJ Drama Deliver ‘Dedication 6’ Mixtape

blame it on Shake December 25, 2017

With Tha Carter V still being held captive (by Birdman, the Feds, or Martin Shkreli—we don’t know), Lil Wayne has continued to insist the album is done and ready to go.

“Carter V is done. Carter V is on the shelf, just ready to drop,” Wayne said in August. “You know, I don’t have to – I ain’t gotta do that. I’ll move on and keep it moving and give em what I’m doing right now. But Carter V ready to be listened to. It just gotta be listened to the right way. I don’t wanna put it out the wrong way. The fans deserve it to be right and that’s how it’s gonna be.”

Whatever the case may be, Tha Carter V is still no where to be found. So, while the wait continues, Weezy is keeping it moving with the sixth installment of his Dedication mixtape series with DJ Drama.

Following In Tune We Trust from May, Dedication 6 is equipped with 15 tracks—including takes on Kendrick Lamar’s “DNA,” 21 Savage’s “Bank Account” and Jay-Z’s “The Story of OJ”— with features from Nicki Minaj, Gudda Gudda, Euro, Cory Gunz, Zoey Dollaz, and Hoody Baby.

UPDATE: A few days later, an “official” version without DJ Drama has been released.
