George Clinton-slash-Parliament-slash-Funkadelic is a father to hip hop music, particularly in the West Coast. Even after not releasing an album in close to four decades his imprint can be found everywhere, from 2Pac to Kendrick Lamar to Donald Glover.

Parliament will release Medicaid Fraud Dog, their first album since 1980’s Trombipulation, sometime in 2018. They’ve also delivered the first single off the project, “I’m Gon’ Make U Sick O’Me,” with Scarface. In a Reddit Q&A, George spoke on the forthcoming project and credited “Flying Lotus, Kendrick, Tra’Zae, and all that sh*t coming out of Atlanta” as inspirations.
