After causing a stir when he revealed his plans to scuttle the Childish Gambino name, it appears that fans will get at least one more Donald Glover album before he possibly shuts it down for good.

Variety reports that Glover — and his agency/label, Wolf + Rothstein — have signed a recording and label deal with RCA Records. Home to the A$AP Mob, Khalid, and Justin Timberlake among others, new music is expected Glover/Gambino sometime this year.

“Donald is undoubtedly one of the most talented, multi-faceted, young entertainers of this era,” RCA Chairman/CEO Peter Edge said in a statement. “We are excited to join forces with him and Wolf + Rothstein to usher in the next phase of Childish Gambino’s musical career.”

“It was a necessary change of pace,” Glover added.

Childish Gambino is set to perform at the 60th GRAMMY Awards on January 28th, while his third album “Awaken, My Love!” has been nominated for five awards.
