GRAMMYs: Kendrick Runs Rap, Jay-Z Shut Out & Bruno Mars Cleans Up

blame it on Shake January 28, 2018

The 60th installment of the GRAMMYs have arrived. And for the first time since 2003, it’s all going down in NYC.

Hip-Hop is represented well, too, with JAY-Z and Kendrick Lamar securing the most nominations. Hov, who will receive the Salute To Industry Icons Award, leads all with eight, including nods for Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Rap Album. Kendrick Lamar follows the living legend with seven, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Rap Album and Rap Performance of the Year. But will they actually win?

We’ve also gotta give a shout out to SZA, who, in her first year of eligibility, scored five nominations and is the most-nominated female of the year.

Things kick off at 8pm EST on CBS. We’ve included the categories we actually care about below and will be updating the post as each winner is revealed—including Kendrick, who already won three with “Humble” winning Best Music Video, Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance before the show even aired (because, of course).
