Jon Waltz needs to stop playing with our emotions!
After releasing his Alyss EP back in October of 2014, Waltz went quiet — only dropping a pair of solo songs and appearing on tracks alongside Rome Fortune, Mulherin, and Matt Champion in the two years that followed. Then, in October of 2016, he resurfaced for a hot second with the R&B-tinged “Riot,” before going back into hiding.
Now, after another year-long hiatus, the Memphis native is back in action with a new song called “Backstreets.” The wait was worth it, though, as this song is pretty damn great. But still, let’s hope this is the last ‘comeback’ the talented artist has to make.
UPDATE (3/29): Two months after the audio was released, Waltz comes through with a matching video.
