Wale Isn’t A Fan Of Valentine’s Day On “All Star Break Up”

Since the release of his 5th studio album, SHiNE, last May, Wale has stayed relatively quiet, sporadically releasing singles, including his remix of SZA’s “The Weekend.” Today, returns with a new single titled, “All Star Break Up.”

As the NBA All-Star Game and Valentine’s Day are on the horizon, the song’s title is quite appropriate.  On the track, Wale details an unsatisfactory relationship he had with a girl, detailing that money and gifts were the only type of “affection” she liked, saying “tried the love/it’s not enough/it’s cars, it’s money, attention.” Despite his attempts, the girl soon leaves Wale to seek her much-desired attention at the All-Star Game.
