Tech N9ne Creates His Own ‘Planet’ On 20th Album

blame it on Meka March 1, 2018

With over twenty years under his belt, Tech N9ne has been recognized as one of, if not the, most successful independent hip hop artists in the world. But the Strange Music frontman shows no signs of slowing down. He just released his twentieth(!) album, Planet.

Led by “Tech N9ne (Don’t Nobody Want None),” Tech opened up on the album’s concept. “I wanted to create my own planet because this one seems to be having so many problems with hatred and murders,” he says. “I just wanted to leave this planet and create my own, with love and lyrics.”

The 19-track project feature the likes of Snow Tha Product, Krizz Kaliko, Machine Gun Kelly (“No Reason (The Mosh Pit Song)”), King Iso, and others.

Press play on the album below and be sure to add Planet on your preferred streaming platform.

Tech was also the first guest on Spotify’s freshly-launched podcast, “Microphone Check.” Hosted by Ali Shaheed Muhammad of A Tribe Called Quest and journalist Frannie Kelley. Tech gets rather personal during their chat, opening up on dealing with divorce and disappointment while building his empire. It’s a rather insightful sit-down, and is a must-listen.
