For the 90th week in a row, we’re back with another drop in our Weekly Dope playlist. And for the artwork, we had to roll with Phonte, who surprised everyone with the release of his long-awaited sophomore album, No News Is Good News.
On top of ‘Te, we also got projects from Tory Lanez, Apathy, Mozzy, Larry June, and Aaron Cohen. DJ Khaled recruited Jay-Z, Beyoncé and Future for the first single off his Father of Asahd album. Wale proved he’s got “Staying Power” with another aural gem, De La Soul joined Tom Misch on a new groove, and A$AP Ferg flipped a historic figure skater’s name into a joint with Denzel Curry and IDK. Rae Sremmurd teased SR3MM with three new songs, included a pair of solo joints. Westside Gunn and Mr. Green announced an EP and shared the first single. Dave East set it off, Smoke DZA and Joey Bada$$ provided the mood, and Gucci Mane previewed his Glacier Boyz project with Migos and Lil Yachty. Plus new music from Run the Jewels, Problem, Nick Grant, Tuxedo, Vado, and more.
