‘Luke Cage’ & ‘Jessica Jones’ Reveal Season 2 Debut Dates

blame it on Meka March 6, 2018

While they’ve been hit (The Punisher) or miss (Iron Fist) in recent times, we here at the DopeHouse almost religiously watch any of Marvel’s Netflix show. Now, two of the better characters will return this year to the streaming platform.

Jessica Jones, which stars Kristen Ritter, will return for a second season in a few days, actually: March 8th. Following the events of The Defenders as well as her own first season, the trailer for the show seems to focus on Jessica having to deal with the repercussions of her traumatic experiences (which were chronicled in Season 1). What’s really cool about Jessica Jones is that each of the 13 episodes were directed by women, and each episode has a comic cover drawn by a woman as well.

Meanwhile, Luke Cage — the critically acclaimed counterpart to Jones — has been tabbed for a June 22nd release. A brief preview has released, and judging from the Eric B. & Rakim song in the clip the Cheo Hodari Coker-ran smash will stay entrenched in its vintage hip hop roots.

What a time.
