After running through 2017 with 16 in the clip, Trouble closed out the year teaming up with Drake and Mike WiLL Made It on “Bring It Back.” A little left field when it dropped, the collaboration makes sense now with news of the Atlanta rapper inking a joint venture with Interscope and the producer’s Ear Drummer Records.
“No other producer x artist combo can pull off what Trouble and I are about to do,” Mike WiLL says. “I really felt like it was time for a level up for Trouble – I’ve been watching his grind for years now, since we were young as fuck, coming up in Atlanta on the music scene, trying to make something out of nothing. Trouble is the only person from the city who’s going to give you that raw, pure, honest, real rap, mixed with originality, new flavor, new flows and new lingo. He has the grind, work ethic, and dedication to back it up and the city knows.”
To coincide with the announcement, Trouble also reveals he and Mike WiLL are dropping a project called Edgewood this spring and shares its latest single, “Real Is Rare.”
