Say hello to the G.O.O.D. Music & Cactus Jack Records signee, Sheck Wes. Straight out of Harlem, NY, Wes has become a notable fixture on the East-coast trap scene thanks his 2017 single, “Mo Bamba,” which I hear pretty much every time I go out.

Produced by 16yrold, “Mo Bamba” was originally released on SoundCloud almost a year ago, but after being re-released through the Kanye West & Travis Scott founded labels, the track received a major boost in attention and popularity. Today, Sheck Wes makes his DopeHouse debut with his new track, “Do That.”

Heading to Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show to debut the song, Wes also revealed the inspiration behind the record. “I was actually inspired by traditional wrestlers,” he said, “It just reminded me of the drums they would use in their little ritual performing warm-up before their wrestling matches.”

Stay tuned for Wes’ upcoming debut album, Mudboy, set to drop this spring. Check out the interview below and hit play on “Do That” as well.
