Last week, MURS took us on A Strange Journey Into the Unimaginable with the release of his latest solo album.
Dubbed his “most personal album yet,” we knew we were in for a roller coaster of emotions when the living legend held nothing back on the project’s first two singles, “Melancholy” and “Powerful.” But nothing could prepare us for the rawness of the album’s intro.
Before the album’s release, MURS talked about some of the topics he would be discussing. And once the journey began, he wasted no time in getting those thoughts out.
On “The Unimaginable,” the Paid Dues founder touches on getting divorced, friends passing away, and losing a newborn son during pregnancy. It’s a lot for anyone to endure, let alone a 40-year-old emcee who still feels the pressure from fans and his label to get music out.
This isn’t really music, though, it’s just MURS dealing with his thoughts. And for his latest video, he stands in front of the lens and lets it be known that he’s still standing tall.
