Westside Gunn & Mr. Green – “Stash House”

In case you missed the memo: FLYGOD Is Good… All the Time.

Earlier this month, Westside Gunn and Mr. Green surprised fans by revealing they would be releasing a joint EP—which was originally planned to be a visual project, but was kept strictly audio because of scheduling issues.

“We were originally going to film the project, but scheduling-wise, we were never able actually to lock in a shooting date,” Mr. Green says. “So, we ended up doing it audio-only. It was originally supposed to be more of a Live From the Streets film project than a music project, but it just sort of morphed into a dope music project.”

As dope as a Live From the Streets version would’ve been, we’re still stoked about getting music from the left field combination that finds WSG (like he did with DOOM) teaming up with a non-Griselda rep.

“There’s probably a little more drums than would hear on a Griselda project, and it’s possibly a little more upbeat,” Mr. Green continued. “It’s still spooky and dark, but there’s just a couple more upbeat melodies in it.”

Kicking things off with “Part Deux,” the duo have returned with a second helping just hours before the EP is released. Check out the hard-hitting “Stash House” below and come back around midnight for the remaining four songs.
