Eric Bellinger Disses Tory Lanez on “Yikes”

blame it on Wongo March 26, 2018

Can’t say this was unexpected.

Fed up with Tory Lanez‘s shenanigans, Eric Bellinger takes direct aim at Tory on his latest track “Yikes,” using the same beat as Tory’s “Hate to Say,” off Memories Don’t Die, which Tory used to diss Eric.

The beef stems from Tory using Eric’s tag, “This gon’ be your favorite song,” on two records, DJ Drama’s “Wishing” (Remix) and DJ E Feezy’s “Baby.” After calling Tory out for his actions, Tory responded to Eric on “Hate to Say” rapping, “R&B n****s with Sisqó haircuts, wildin’ and stylin’/They dissin’, guess they just tryna go viral, I feel ’em/This your favorite song, this gon’ be your favorite song/’Cept when I say it, it’s really the people’s favorite song.”

Well, that was was the last straw for Eric. Hopping on the same beat, E holds nothing back, opening the song with “Memories don’t die but I can’t say the same for you.” For the rest of the track Eric takes a number of shots at Tory, claiming that he stole Trey Songz, Fetty Wap, Kendrick Lamar, and Drake’s styles. Eric also marks Tory as untalented, singing “If it weren’t for Interscope, yo’ records wouldn’t be playin,”

Once the dust cleared, Eric appropriately ends the song with Drake’s “getting bodied by a singing n***a” line from “Back to Back.” Let’s see how this beef plays out.
