Fresh off joining Sango in Brazil for his “Khlorine” video, Smino is back in action with a new video of his own.
After sharing videos for “Anita” and “Netflix & Dusse” last year, the St. Louis native revisits his excellent blkswn album with one for “Wild Irish Roses.”
Directed by Jean Deaux, the nostalgic clip finds Smino daydreaming in a drop-top Pontiac that just so happens to be parked outside of a convenience store that’s being robbed.
“The cool shit about it is, we shot it at Bob’s Market,” Smino tells Complex. “They did ‘Fast & Furious’ there, the n*gga Paul Walker walked in and grabbed some sh*t in the movie. But yeah, it’s a legendary lil spot-spot. Probably the most memorable sh*t in the video was watching my homeboys, Fin and Dave Coresh, just go crazy in their roles in the acting scenes. I knew they’d bring the best out of it.”
