Back in December, Pell and Saba joined forces to pay homage to Kanye West and Twista’s “Slow Jamz” with their “throwback” collab off Pell’s girasoul EP. And now, the NOLA/Chicago duo are back with a matching video.
Shot in Los Angeles, the vintage clip—which was shot on a Super 8 camera—follows an isolated day in the life of Pell as he lives his life on a stage set up in real life locations.
From waking up in his bedroom atop a mountain and enjoying a bath on a side street to posting up in his living room in a parking lot and taking a seat at his dinner table… on a beach, this is living at its finest.
“Shooting the video was dope because it was the first time I was shooting this quality of a video with bystanders walking by watching me do it,” Pell told Complex. “You could say it was interactive in that way that most of my music videos aren’t.”
Check out the Miles and AJ-directed clip below and be sure to give Pell’s girasoul EP a spin. Saba also released a new album this month called Care For Me.
